MY STRANGEST QUALITY IS MY MOST VALUABLE (AS IS YOURS)
Synesthesia is a fascinating neurological phenomenon that involves the merging of two or more senses, such as seeing colours when listening to music, or tasting shapes.
I love to use my synaesthesia (an aspect of my deeply neurodivergent mind) as an example for my clients when I am leading them to understanding that the very qualities they think are too strange to explore and express to the public are the very things that will effortlessly create their ‘field of Gold’.
As someone with synesthesia, I experience sensory associations that allow me to perceive the world in a unique way. When I work with clients as a transpersonal identity coach, I use my synesthesia to help me see beyond surface-level appearances and tap into their deeper sense of identity – essentially, it’s a tool to help clients connect with their inner world and explore their sense of self on a deeper level.
For example, when I work with a client, I may perceive a specific colour, shape, or sound that is associated with their true identity or inner self. This synesthetic experience allows me to see beyond their external identity, such as their job or social status, and connect with their true essence.
I also use my synesthesia through incorporating sensory experiences into my client sessions – sensory stimuli can help clients access different parts of themselves or tap into archetypes, symbolism and visions. By engaging multiple senses in this way, clients can gain a more holistic and embodied understanding of their experiences and create a deeper connection with themselves.
In addition to sensory experiences, I also use my synesthesia to help clients access their intuition and inner wisdom. Synesthesia can be a powerful tool for tapping into the subconscious mind, where much of our intuition and creativity resides. By working with clients to explore their synesthetic experiences, we can uncover insights and wisdom that may be hidden beneath the surface.
By working with clients to explore their synesthetic identities and experiences, I can help them access deeper levels of awareness and understanding about their identity. Through this process, clients can gain a more profound and authentic sense of self, leading to greater fulfillment and purpose in their lives.
I see my synesthesia as a valuable asset for helping clients connect with their true identity and create a more meaningful and fulfilling life. By incorporating sensory experiences and working with clients to explore their synesthetic experiences, I can help them access deeper levels of awareness and understanding, and create a more profound and transformative experience of self-discovery. Through my synaestheia, I can help them unlock the wisdom and insights that are already within them, leading to profound personal growth and transformation.
